Magai is designed for a specific kind of AI user: someone who wants access to many model families and creative tools from one workspace, rather than maintaining a separate paid account for every provider. The strongest part of the proposition is not simply “more models.” It is the workflow layer around those models—switching mid-conversation, reusable personas, shared files, integrations, chat import and team organization.

That makes Magai easiest to understand as an AI workspace and aggregation layer, not as a replacement for every native feature in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or other provider products.

Bottom line

Magai is most compelling when model switching and workflow consolidation are the problem you are actually trying to solve. If you mainly use one provider and value its native experience, paying that provider directly may be simpler.

What Magai currently includes

Magai’s public site says it provides access to more than 50 AI models and supports switching models inside a conversation without restarting the context. Its pricing and help documentation also describe reusable personas, a document editor, prompt enhancement, web and file access, folders, image and video generation, chat import from ChatGPT and Claude, team collaboration, scheduled tasks and 130+ integrations.

The exact model list changes over time. Magai’s help center maintains a current model table and attaches a usage multiplier to each model, which matters because plans are usage-based rather than “unlimited everything.”

Pricing and usage

PlanCurrent monthly priceIncluded usageAdditional users
Standard$20/month1× baseline$20 each
Pro$40/month3× baseline$20 each
Ultra$200/month15× baselineCustom rates

Magai says every tier includes its premium models and tools; the main plan difference is the quantity of usage. Each model has a multiplier, so a lightweight model can consume less of the balance while a premium model can consume much more. That makes “how much AI do I actually use?” a more important buying question than the headline model count.

Where Magai is strongest

Strong fit

  • You regularly compare or hand work between different model families.
  • You want saved instructions or personas to travel across models.
  • You manage recurring AI work, shared files or team workflows.
  • You are trying to reduce the friction of many separate AI tabs and histories.

Weaker fit

  • You mostly use one model provider and like its native product.
  • You need a specific first-party feature not exposed through an aggregator.
  • Your AI usage is light enough that free tiers already cover your needs.
  • You want unlimited premium-model usage without thinking about consumption.

Magai vs paying for several native subscriptions

At $20/month, Magai Standard is priced at the same headline level as ChatGPT Plus. That does not mean the products are equivalent. ChatGPT Plus is the native OpenAI experience; Magai trades some native-provider specificity for broad model access and a cross-model workflow. If you currently pay for several $20-class AI subscriptions, consolidation can be attractive—but only if Magai’s usage allowance covers your real workload.

Use our one subscription vs multiple subscriptions framework before deciding based on sticker price alone.

What to check before subscribing

  1. Your top three models: confirm they are currently available in Magai’s live model list.
  2. Your usage pattern: check each model’s multiplier and estimate whether Standard, Pro or Ultra fits.
  3. Your must-have native features: if your workflow depends on a provider-specific feature, verify that Magai exposes an equivalent.
  4. Your migration needs: Magai supports importing ChatGPT and Claude conversations, which can reduce switching friction.
  5. Your team setup: include added-user cost when comparing with other team plans.

Who should skip Magai?

Skip it if your workflow is happily concentrated in one native AI product. A unified platform adds the most value when it removes fragmentation. If there is no fragmentation to remove, the extra layer may not solve a meaningful problem.

Our verdict

Magai has a clear value proposition for multi-model users: broad model access plus a workflow layer intended to keep context, instructions, files and team activity in one place. The buying decision should turn on workflow fit and usage economics, not on the raw number of included models.
